Harbour Farm is located at the heart of beautiful Salt Spring Island in the southern gulf islands, a region long stepped in agrarian tradition that once rivaled the Okanogan as one of British Columbia’s most bountiful regions. Like many of the island's fine growers, we at Harbour Farm work dutifully to uphold the tradition of growing some of Canada's best organic produce. With the belief that old-world tradition can be combined with modern farming practices to create a sustainable model that helps to bring only the highest quality of fresh fruits and produce to our community.

The People Behind the Operation

Farm Manager Brooke Oviatt, has been at the foreground of the farm to fork food movement on Salt Spring Island. Her background as a red seal chef has tought her that great ingredients make great food. Brook studied under previous manager Rob Scheres, whose farming roots go back generations to his grandfather's farm in Holland that once supplied some of the finest restaurants and hotels in Paris.

Certified Organic

Harbour Farm is certified organic and offers a wide variety of produce that is ready to be harvested. Not only is there a traditional gardening space, but there are also four greenhouses that have been beautifully built to extend the growing season.

Where to Find Us

Harbour Farm continues to work in cooperation with local restaurants and grocers with the goal of providing the freshest organic produce year-round, as well as attending the wonderful Tuesday farmers market from June through October. If you're lucky enough to find yourself traversing Salt Spring, don't forget to keep an eye out for the Harbour Farm label when shopping at our local grocery store, or swing by the Tuesday market and check out the amazing abundance our Island has to offer.
